Common Admission Test is a computer based standardized test which is jointly conducted by the IIMS with the technical support of TCS is a gateway to get admission into post-graduate management programmes in 19 IIMS and over 150 B Schools.CAT is conducted once a year, usually in the month of November and December. The Common Admission Test assesses a candidate on the basis of Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. This year CAT 2016 is being conducted on December 4, 2016 in two sessions i.e morning and evening. As compared to CAT 2015, over 2.5 lakhs applications are being expected in CAT 2016.

1.       CAT 2016 will have both MCQ and non MCQ type questions.
2.       For each correct answer a candidate will score 3 marks.
3.       For wrong answer you will deduct -1.
4.       Total paper will contain 100 questions.
5.       A candidate will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for attempting each section.
6.       No mark will be deducted for unattempted question.


CAT 2016 SYLLABUS
