How to Prepare for SSC Jr. Engineer Exam 2016



Staff Selection Commission has issued a notification to conduct SSC Jr. Engineer Exam 2016 for recruitment of candidates to the post of Junior Engineers in various departments of the government.
 To be able to crack the exam the candidates must be thorough with the SSC Jr Engineer Exam Pattern. This year onward SSC has introduced the Computer Based Test (CBT). The SSC Jr Engineer Exam Pattern 2016 will consist of two papers- Paper-I (CBT of objective type) and paper-II-Written examination of conventional type. SSC Jr. Engineer Exam 2016 will not have any interview;selection will be on the basis of marks obtained in Paper-I and II. The SSC Jr engineer exam pattern will be as follows:
Paper-I: Objective Type: It carries 200 marks. The paper can be divided into three sections ; (a)  General Intelligence and Reasoning (50 marks), (b) General Awareness( 50 marks).  and (c) General Engineering (100 marks).
There are three sections in General Engineering: (a) Civil and Structural, (b) Electrical and (c) Mechanical. Candidates have to attempt only one part relevant to the applied Jr Engineer post..
Candidate has to choose amongst Civil and Structural or Electrical or Mechanical that carries 100marks.
Time Duration: 2 hours
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.
Only those who are shortlisted in Paper-I will be allowed to appear in Paper-II.
 Paper II: Conventional type: Paper-II of SSC Jr.Engineer  Exam 2016 will be of conventional type carrying 300 marks. There will be three subjects- Civil and Structural or Electrical or Mechanical.
